Day 5

When I wake up at first light in Santa Rosa Natl Park I'm hungry and low on gas.....head off to La Cruz for a meal, but first I gotta pump up my front tire which appears tohave a slow leak. Here's a pic of where I rode today.

I had to pull over twicein 35km to pump up my front....breakfast first.

Ok time to find a hotel, take a shower, clean up the bike a little and fix the front. Another Costa tire repair and a cool $25 dollar hotel.....gotta luv a 9am checkin.

Bike fixed and headed up to the Nicaragua border for a peek.

Tension felt a little high at the border and I decided to head south and explore the bay around Isle Bolanos. The rainforest by the border is nice.

Found a path to the bay.

Nice Beach and Good Riding.

Time to head back to the hotel, hang with some locals and get ready for my commute back to San Jose.

Day 6

My last day of biking in Costa I slept in a little and headed out around 11am after another steak & eggs breakfast......still had a little hangover from last night.

Here's the path I took back to San Jose....all slab on the trans america hwy......I need to be in San Jose by 6pm to give my girl back to Thorston....it's 300+km My flight leaves at 11am Day 7.

One last pic of the rainforest as I leave La Cruz.....I don't wanna go home.

I can understand why the Slab ***** luv what they do.....the ride to San Jose was way fun....LOTS of curves...hills....mountains.....and room to go fast and pass trucks & cars This bike may have been a pig in the tight stuff but it could really lean and go on the slab.

A pic for hoedog and the other *****.....300km of this....way fun.

Overall the Trip was fun and cheap.....
Airfare $275
Bike Rental $300
Cash Brought Along $400.......of which $60 was left after paying for parking at Ft Lauderdale Airport
Credit card purchases $46

Total Cost $961......Damn that was cheap....YOU GOT TO TRY IT!!!!!

You know at first it seems you were disappointed with the bike they gave you, but it looks like it worked out pretty well for you. Well except the flat tires. The foreman to the jury I was on last year told me he had a dual sport and I asked him what it was and he said it was the Honda NX, now I know what he was talking about. How did the bike handle power and balance? Thanks for perhaps the best ride report that has ever been posted on this site.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
