change oil viscosity ???

Thanks again everyone for the info.
Since this is my first change, I will be going with a new oil filter as well.
My KLX250SF is a daily commuter so I'm not necessarily "riding hard" on the engine so I'll probably have filter changes every other oil change (which i'll start doing yearly at the latest). My daily commute is 10 miles round trip, no highways.
