Default chain slack adjustment

I have an 09' KLX 250s. I have put 2600 miles on the bike so far. I check my chain for slack like the manual says. To date I have not made any adjustments. Is this normal?

Mines at 400 miles, 13t front sprocket, and I'm at #5 on the adjuster.

If it needs it, it does. If not, leave it alone!

I have had to adjust mine once in 2300 miles. It all depends on how hard you accelerate. Your chain will stretch under load. If you baby the bike, it may take a long time to need to tighten the adjusters.

With the bike standing upright supported by its own weight ther should be a maximum of two inches in slack. if the chain is so tight that i cant be moved then you need to back off. its not to hard but that is kinda a good rule of thumb.
