You should rarely have to clean your carb. Once a year,crazy. I only have 8500 miles on my 2007. Never cleaned carb. Ridden regular except winter, but does sit weeks without riding and months in winter. Always use ethanol free gas with stabil. Always turn off fuel between rides.
Bike runs great. rejetting gave it as much power as a efi, and it starts much easier now.
