brake adjustment

Default brake adjustment

is it just my bike or do the front brakes rub lightly on the disc, is there anyway to adjust the gap between the disk and the pads.

i have a 99' klx 250h

front brakes rubbing lightly on the disc is normal; your car/truck does it also.

The stock brake "hose" has that hard pipe under the fork, keeping it from being a truly "floating" caliper. After I replaced mine with a stainless brake hose without the "pipe" it does not rub anymore.

like wedge said it's normal, all disk brakes do it

thought it was normal, the rear brake dosn't rub, but there you go, ddt1972 mentioned that he replaced the hose with a steel line, considering the cost of the new line whats the pros and cons with them or is it just a looks thing?

I think its really just all pro......... less brake fade and a firmer consistant feel when you sqeeze 'em
and on the front you get rid of that little line that can get hooked and broken on crap.

Yep got both of Bills lines, you only need the front one IMO
