led relay to slow down the blinkers...it'll work, but it'll blink rapidly if you hook it up with no relay...

I can't see there being much of a difference between the years, but my front end cam up in the first three gears just hitting the gas. Caught me a little off guard in third lol. I have to look and see what tooth sprockets I'm using....

plastic goes back on tmrw and the next sunny say I will post pics. I was looking at some new turn signals on ebay, do I have to do anything special to upgrade them to LED?

How did you do the plastics?

I really like that look!

Maybe just some fine grit sandpaper?

yea a few coats of bed liner spray paint and used fine steel wool between coats and after last coat to take off the rough texture.

Dupli-Color TR250 Truck Bed Coating Aerosol and
and Dupli-Color HVP106 Flat Black High Performance Vinyl and Fabric Spray on the seat. I roughed up the plastic and put a coat of krylon black plastic spray paint before the truck bed spray paint. Everything looks brand new like I bought it that way =)

I was thinking since my bike is already all black.. just sanding down the glossy finish of the plastic... I have no experience working with plastics though...?

well you could always try that and if it didn't look good you would probably only need one coat of this stuff then if it's already black. it's really hardy stuff so far...I already hit a piece against a machine in my dads shop and it didn't show any green.

this is what it looked like when I started

This is just with the bike sitting in my driveway. I haven't tried to drive off yet until the bike will stay running without the choke. Any thoughts as for why this is? I only have the 351 big bore & rejet the carb. Everything, and I mean everything else is stock.

Well, I'm also 220 pounds so that's why I think mine only came up in first gear. Also I have stock exhaust, air filter etc.

get a new exhaust! Just getting a new exhaust gave me lots more power...now with the 351 it's HUGE difference. The stock pipe on mine had a hole about as big as a pencil....
