I don't understand why your bike would be torn apart for weeks. Are you planning on taking your time putting everything back together. Last April is when I did my big bore and I told bill I wanted my exact same cyl. back. He said no problem but it would take an extra day maybe 2. So I sent my cyl. out on a Friday, and got my 351 kit on the following thursday. Thats less then a week! My bike was only down 8 days and it was to cold to ride here at the time so it didn't really matter. But, a couple of weeks, does Bill not have any sleeves and pistons at his shop. Then I could understand it taking longer.
I have just over 400 miles on my BB351 and I can't believe how much torque it has now. Has enough power now to make passing a non issue, head winds don't make a difference. Waiting on my 15t cs sprocket to come in since 1st is almost unusable stock, even in the trails. Next upgrade needs to be heavier forksprings and a revalve kit. Hit 94 mph indicated the other day, not sure what actual mph was since I don't have gps.
