I gave up. Called all over e-mailed Austrialia no answers just told to call a dealer in my area. I guess the television ad is wrong. For everything else there's Visa. But no one wants my visa...

 

I imagine they make them for the KX250F/450F and possibly the KLX450R, but I have my doubts whether they still make them for the KLX250. I'm thinking the one they made for the KLX250 might have been an 'AC' CDI for the old KLX250R which had an electrical system similar to that of the KLX300.

Our bike would require a 'DC' CDI. I think Vortex makes a DC CDI for the DRZ400, which might be adaptable to our bike.
