Deej - are you taking on any new bike cleaning apprentices? I could use some training, but I'm not sure I could take being struck with a bamboo whipping stick if I miss a spot. Can I at least wear my gear?

Have you guys been able to extract all the fuel from the bottom of the wings? How many miles of range are you getting out of the Acerbis?

RE: Acerbis Tank Warning
I took mine up to the reserve yesterday for the first time at 182 miles and then only went about 4 miles to fill it back up. It took 2.9 gallons. Not sure how far the reserve will take me though.

RE: Acerbis Tank Warning
I've hit reserve a few times already right around 2.8 gallons I think...
And you don't have much reserve (on level ground). Maybe 10 miles if you're lucky.
No, you can't get the gas out of the wings... I like this tank but that really pisses me off.
There's almost a whole gallon of gas being carried around in the tank that is totally unusable.
Once you run dry on reserve, you need to stop the bike (you just ran out of gas anyway), then pitch it way over on it's side to try and get gas from the wings over to the petcock... There is a little bowl where the petcock bolts into that will hold about a half a mouthful of gas. You start the bike, ride for 3 minutes, run dry, repeat. I ended up doing this about 6 times on the side of the highway to get to a gas station.
I wrote to Acerbis on their international (acerbis.it) website and they did not respond to me...
That was a few weeks ago.

So even if you tip the bike way over you still get just a little gas. Dont make much sense to even have the wings then, To me anyway. I bet That was a Pissed Off letter.
