300 piston kit from China
Did some googling and came across this kit. I do recall some of you taking about a kit from China. Is this it? Will it fit my 2018 KLX? If they are the right fit and are ok, it sure would be a cheap way to gain an extra 20%.

If your signature line is complete, you still have one more leap in performance available before you look at a BB kit. And that is to add a Megabomb or Powerbomb header to your PC4 and up the main jet to a DJ144 or K158 ( to make your lidless CVK setup the correct setup for a full performance exhaust..)
You will gain a strong, linear, power band that pulls hard all the way to redline.. (10,500 rpm)

I used to think big bores were trouble until I did one on my KLX650 and have put around 35,000 trouble free miles on it. Seems in most cases there is no replacement for displacement. I just am avoiding high compression set ups and I don't believe the AHL 299cc is much more if any than the stock 250.
Yes Aussie Cheech, AHL Tong Tong cylinder and piston are doing great. I have not had any reason to take her apart so I don't know what it looks like inside. Other than wider foot pegs, best money I've spent on the bike. FYI I am running a 36 mm Mikuni pumper carb and not the stock CVK carb. I'm not sure if the intake setup is the same for a fuel injected v.s. a carbed model however. This could be an issue... Perhaps someone here knows if they are the same or not.
KLX678. It was determined by one of the first people (sorry, don't remember who), the one that determined the head gasket was wrong and the lower cam chain guide bolt needed shortened that the AHL 300 kit was a lower compression than stock.
The head gasket extended into the water jackets a bit so some chose to buy a Kawasaki gasket. As for compression I don't know. It had been mentioned in other threads on the AHL kit, that the lower bolt needed shortened I believe around 4mm. All well known. Regardless of any of that, the kit adds significant power per those who have done them.
I think the original thread I was referring to was from ADVRider. I ran the 300 cylinder for around 1500 miles last summer before switching to 351 over the winter. The 300 did add some boost , but nothing like the 351 did.
Also to note. When I took the 300 kit off it looked perfect after 1500 miles. I have it and my original 250 cylinder in case I ever need to switch back, but I wouldn't hesitate to put the 300 back on with the same rings and all.
