UPDATE. He called me back after talking to the service manager. No additional mapping needed. That exhaust is designed with the o2 sensor and the computer will adjust itself shortly after installation.

Nice. My dealer said they couldn't tweak the FI mapping for an aftermarket pipe as it is against their policy. that Yosh pipe is expensive, but it sure looks nice.

Yup, its a bit pricey but it is nice. Did you see my updated post? They actually got back with me and said, no new mapping would be needed.

Thats weird about your dealership though. Ive never had a problem with my past dealerships downloading an updated tune for an aftermarket pipe on any of my past sport bikes.

Yeah. I think it's a California thing.
I might try an FMF pipe with Powerbomb header. Hopefully it will run OK without remapping since FMF won't get back to me about what mapping works best.

Ok. Seems like the dealer can't remap the ecu because it isn't possible. At least from what I've found. Some people say do an exhaust with o2 bung and the computer will self adjust and be fine. Others say either it won't adjust or won't adjust enough to make it not run lean. Others say run the o2 eliminator and it will trick the computer into its max richness setting. That combined with a new exhaust and air box modification will be the best option. Question is does the 2018 USA model use the same computer and fuel injection as the rest of the world? The klx250s was killed off here in 2014 and has been gone until a few months ago so fuel injection is new to us. Also can't seem to find an o2 sensor for sale anywhere in the US. Does anybody know. The truth? Lol.

LOL isn’t that about typical....kinda like in my instance where I was initially told one thing by my dealership, then told another thing....by my dealership. I think I’m going to contact Yoshi and see what their input is.
