well on a steep hill you could be dripping out fuel from the bowl or its harder for the jets to suck in fuel because of the angle

so that could be a problem too

you never want to stall on a hill anyways your lucky you have electric start
think of those that have to kickstart when stalling on a hill

No, I fall on a hill not stall. I have been getting into some serious off road stuff with crazy steep hills and as a novice I've been falling a lot going up the steep hills

oh tipping over the bike changes things all together

once the bike tips over the bowl usually drains out the fuel from the vent lines

causing you to have to wait until it fills up again, sometimes that can take a lot of cranking to get it full enough to start

next time be very thorough when describing a problem because thats totally normal for it to be very hard to start depending on how much fuel you loose

And all this time I thought that the fuel got to the carb via gravity, not cranking!

Ride on

Actually I upgraded from my beloved little KLX 150S, and that little thing would flat out refuse to start if you gave it any gas at all when cold.

It would start on tickover but if you gave it gas it would just flood.

Even if not using I'd always start that bike once a week. The guy I sold it to didn't, and then after leaving it 2 weeks flattened the battery trying to start it....
