Nick - I have been fiddling with my FI KLX this week since I am home. I am running the 2BR M7 slip-on and for grins and giggles removed my air box lid to see what my ECU would do. So far no problems, no FI warning light or anything else out of the ordinary with one big exception - I can now rev up to 10,000 rpm! Never could do that before. Yesterday I was on a short straight and hit 7500 rpm in 4th gear. So today I was doing stationary runs just to see how far when would go and hit the 10k point. It feels like she has a little more ***** too but it could just be my inexperience making me think so. Don't have a dyno available so can't do any proper testing but you might want to give it a wack and see how it goes.

thanks again for help! I am determined to figure this out! I feel too much shame getting overtaken by mopeds and scooters when i have a passenger!
Have the official 552 page kawasaki service manual. Now looking at throttle potentiometer to see if wiper is putting out specified full throttle voltage!

Derestrict klx250 2009 for free
1. Disconnect ECU from the rubber base (A)
2. Locate the light green wire (B)
3. Cut the light green wire close to ECU
4. Add a piece of wire to the light green wire (that you just have cut) to the side that comes out of the ECU (E) long enough to reach (F)
5. Disconnect (F)
6. Connect the wire you added in parallel to the black/red wire (G)
7. Connect again (F)
8. Isolate the light green wire that was coming to ECU (D)

I will also look at the ECU pin outs and see exactly what this modification does.
Thanks again!
Nick.
