Since the emissions stuff was removed the top of your carb has an emissions vent that requires plugging. I purchased from kragen auto parts a Chinese assortment of rubber plugs that were suited for this purpose. Those became cracked n leaked after 18 months approx. so you might want to check. That would lean out your fuel delivery also.
