I think the 2206 was originally design for the KLX300, for which the KLX250 has the same carb. As TNC says, many riders have used the 2206 from "mild to wild." I used the 2206 with the stock bore before 351 kit. It's just my opinion it's probably a better model for big bore compared to the 2152. I have no proof, just an assumption.

Yes, probably a better idea. With those guys being on the wrong side of the planet, it's likely they have everything upside down there.

As previously mentioned, I didn't buy a DJ kit as you end up with a whole heap of jets you don't need. Here's what I've installed on my Aus '08 250.

Main jet - #138 Kawa part # - 920631015
Pilot jet - #40 part # 920641108
2x shims under stock N1RX needle - part # 920221003

It has not had the slide hole drilled out & the mixture screw is 2 1/2 turns out. No snorkel on the airbox lid. It does pop under decel which doesn't worry me. I find that applying a little throttle stops it. I also removed the deicing circuit (less potential coolant leak points).

I haven't touched this set-up since installation (over 9 months). It needs choke for a cold start and it fires straightaway on a hot start.

So today i took out the dial a jet. In that time the new plastic tank showed up. However the "on" barb fitting on the tank is lower then the barb fitting to the fuel tap and the fuel hose isnt flexible enough to make the correct bends and crimps itself. How can i fix this issue instead of running on the reserve circuit?

Very similar setup here, difference is #38 pilot jet and 2.8mm slide hole drilled. Mine also does pop on decel, but it did so as stock. Had lid off, but the noise was too much for me old ears, lid on and no snorkel now. Thinking about putting KDX snorkel in, but I cannot find one anywhere in Oz.

Hi TP. Give me a call and I'll run you through it all. I'll send you some new fuel hose for your new tank, if you like, (I can stretch to the price of a stamp for a fellow rider. ) I'm in Perth (no DL saving, 0403800887.)

Thanks for the offer mate. I havent updated recently. But i ran the tank on reserve, so no dramas there. As for the carby, i cleaned out all the jets and am running it on 3 1/2 turns out. When cold its a pig to ride but once warm it seems to go alright. I dare say its time for a rejet anyways.
