Hey guys I appreciate all the responses.

I finally got it started. After cranking on it for a while the battery was going dead so I put it on a trickle charger and I kept trying every 15 minutes. I think the battery was half dead when I picked it up cause I put it on a good charger for 20 min. and then it started right up. You would think they would of charged the battery before I arrived for pick up.

If nothing else I got a good education on the bike and bike parts. I'm not real mechanically inclined so that was good for me.

Anyhow thanks for the input... much appreciated!

when batterys sit, they slowly lose charge. if it was on the deal floor for a while, thats probably what did it ( by law they cant have the batterys hooked up or gas in the tank on the showroom floor).

Glad you got it started...our klx's hate low batteries...consider a kick starter...excellent mod. ... saved me 8 times now, well worth the effort to put in.

Interesting, my 06 will crank all day with the kill switch engaged...kick starter won't let it start either...not that I ever had that issue.

Glad you got it started, dealers are bad at putting gas in the bikes as well as NOT charging the batteries
