I reviewed this thread and compiled a list of who we know is planning on attending the TdAII. Here is the list as it stands on 12/7/06.

1. Marty - Umatilla, FL
2. EMS_0525 - Pittsburgh, PA
3. cwgoff - Winston-Salem, NC
4. klxstiffler - Panama City, FL
5. tennisman - Kennesaw, GA
6. NoBrakes - Apex, NC
7. charleshmosesii - Tampa, FL
8. Finger Mullet - Munyon Island, FL
9. wahtabi - Whereabouts Unknown
10. sullydirt - Palm Coast, FL

It looks like EMS_0525 is in the running to win the door prize for "longest distance" award. Anyone care to challenge him on that? bmwhd? Deej? Tremor38?

Chris

Yes, I'm in too as you can see above...10 KLXs!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pics, baby, pics! This is gonna be sooooo coooooool.

I might be a brave soul and ride the KLX up there with a sleeping bag on the back. Hey, I'm young (and I have a buttpad). Poor tires.

OR I might ride up with a friend and trailer 2 bikes. Dunno about him yet.

Also...LORDVNGR, where are you????????????? You're in Tampa, come up with me to make it 11 KLXs.

Do I have to reserve a sleeping spot in advance, or just show up?

Charles,

Scroll up a little bit in the thread to the posts from MxTrail, he is Marty's buddy that is putting this bad boy together. Click on the Email icon either in his post or from his profile and tell him you are coming. After that you can consider yourself officially registered. I did that and I just got a confirmation email from him with some instructions for early arrivers.

EMS, in case you were going to ping him for that info, don't bother, I have all the info that we will need.

See you guys there.

Chris

Harumph, actually there will be a couple more KLX's that I know of.

Day13 is not a member here, but is over at KLR World. He's from Jacksonville. He was there last year with his leg in a soft cast and we rigged a "crutch carrier" on his bike.

I believe there is another that I hoping will make it. He neither is a member of this forum. His name is Duane and I've ridden with him before. One heck of a great guy. He lost his job last year, so he signed up to pull a year of contract security over in the "Big Sandbox" - yep, he is doing security work, guarding convoys! Gets to play with an MP5 all the time.

He just contacted me about tweaking on a KLX250S for him when he gets back in about 2 weeks.

So, I think we'll see a picture of "The Dirty Dozen" - Kawasaki Forum Style!

We will post the picture with lots of dirt on them so Deej will have to see you can get a dirt bike dirty!

Maybe, even find some Georgia clay! That will send him into convulsions!

Default Dr. Seuss Goes to Apalachicola

One KLX two KLX
How many more?
How many will come
To the Apalachicola Tour?

From far and near
the adventurers travel
to join in the fun
of dirt and gravel.

Two wheels, four wheels
Knobbie wheels, dusty wheels.
Will the sand of Apalochicola
make them all stuck wheels?

Screwdrivers and wrenches
are busy with their chores.
Intakes and headers and
carburetors and big bores.

Grimy fingers
and grimy hands
no bolt is unturned,
no mod is unplanned.

One rider two rider
see you on the trail.
Who knows where we're going?
Keep up or bail!

When darkness falls,
dinner is served.
There is enough for everyone,
your table is reserved.

The beverage was cold,
and the food was good.
But now we must go,
we really should.

One KLX two KLX
How many more?
How many will come
To the Apalachicola Tour?

Sorry, couldn't help myself ...

Nobrakes, that was nice but please no poetry in the woods

Just kidding, I'm really looking forward to this. Can't we just fast forward and go this weekend, and get the holidays behind us.

It's gonna be great to meet all you hooligans

Btw, Marty and I stopped at the restaurant which we'll be going to on Friday night. I guarantee it is good food and a very friendly down home southern restauant. I'm a Yankee and I loved it!
