Better Battery for 3010 Trans Mule
The batteries for the Mule suck. Too small, not enough power, small poles, lose a charge in cold weather, and play out in a year or less.
Has anybody replaced these junkie things with something better, and if so, what did you use specifically?
Thanks

Battery care
Hi,
I Have Been Using the NAPA Auto Parts "Napa Gold " Series batteries .
Part # 7526R / O.E._code- b.i.c. NO:26R ( The " R " means Reversed battery posts ) . It is A " top post " , Same Dimension As the Factory battery. Higher Cranking Amps_ 540CCA , Sealed/ Maintenance free .....
Any Battery Allowed to set unused for A long Period of Time will go Flat/dead.
Alternator /Charging system/ Cables/ Ground Connections OK/Clean ??
Alternator/ Water Pump Belt Tight ???
Recommend ; A battery cut-Off Switch ( Any Accessory , Alternator will draw power ) With the engine off .
A Trickle Charger / Battery Maintainer ( IE: Battery TEnder ) Will Greatly increase The Life Of it.
Using a Winch Or High powered accessories, boom Box Radios ,,,
Will Tear Up a Battery ( A standard Battery ) In A Short Time . Best
Possible Solution ;;; Dual Battery Setup :: One Standard Battery- ( For Starting, O.E. equipment/ Lights) ,,,
2ND Battery Would Be a " DEEP Cycle" Type ( Trolling Motor / Boat ) This would run all aftermarket Accessories .
To Charge the Two batteries ,, A " Battery Isolator Kit " Would be Installed Between the Alternator and Two Batteries ...
The First Batt. (primary) is for starting, The Second Batt. ( Secondary )
for Winch/ Aftermarket Accessories .
Hope This Helps.
Later,
Mark
