ZX10 B1 valve clearance. Please help
Just bought a ZX10 but cant get a manual for it. As a ex Kawasaki mechanic i can sort the rest but i cant remember the valve clearances or what marks to line up on cam wheels to check them. Not worked on one of these for 15 years and memory not that good. Any help would be great.

I do not have the '89 zx10 info. so am not sure on the specs. The '93 zx11 Standard Valve Clearance is IN. .13-.19mm, EX. .18-.24 for example. I checked in my 89 ZX7 manual and it too was different. Good luck in finding the required information.

www.carlsalter.com may have it as well..
typically, it seems clearances sit at about .006" for intake and .008" for exhaust.. +/-.002
that is a safe basline if you're in a pinch.
use the T mark on the rotor for timing, as you know, #1 cylinder TDC on comp stroke.
the cam lines should fall in place.. not 10% sure what they are on that one, but typically, they're at 12 o'clock and 9 on the intake and 3 on the exhaust when you're dealing with a side-tunnel system..
good luck, hope maybe that helps a tiny bit, and welcome to KF!
