check the seals/boots around the intakes in front of the carbs,check for dryrot and gaps, if jets are bored out you cant run stock airbox either.

 

well the airbox seals okay, but i've been meaning to replace the rubber flanges between thecarbs and the engine block. they're kinda dry and the previous owner siliconed them... which probably just won't do the trick.

the problem is those carb mounts are so EXPENSIVE!! anyone know where i can find them cheaper? i mean 4 little pieces of rubber shouldnt cost me 70 bucks!

 

The flanges meaning the boots right? Bring up a part number for us. But yes the boots are kinda spendy.
