a question about spark plugs
hello everyone, i have a 2006 636 and i put a power commander on it and i had water in my gas this winter because i didn't put anything in the gas, i think that i fouled out or flooded my plugs, so my question no is where the hell on the bike are they, i have the gas tank off now and would like to replace them and get it out of the way now that the tank is off, i will go with ngk but does anyone have the part number if not i can call the dealer,
thanks in advance,
jason

RE: a question about spark plugs
they are under the air box.
you'll need to remove this contraption, and the "stick coils" above each plug. just unplug the connector for them, pull em straight up and out.. if you happen to mix them up, its ok.. but just for fun, try to keep organized.. it can't hurt.
you'l need an uber extension and probably a universal joint on a 3/8 drive.
i've found these are handy with the tight spaces on these machines.
any troubles, post up!
and welcome to KF man!

RE: a question about spark plugs
The tool that came with the bike worked really well for me, it even holds the plugs for you so you can get them out easy. I just did this last week, the ones on the outside are really tough to get out because of the lack of space. Got mine from NGK.com

RE: a question about spark plugs
NGK Iridium CR9EIX for an 05 636. Should be the same for 06? www.sparkplugs.com just to be sure.
