what kind of oil do you guys use in ninja 250r's ...do you just use regualr10-40 oil i trying to find out what brand to use.

 

it doesn't really matter the brand so much. its basically are you running reg oil, semisynthedic, or full synthedic. you must buy motorcycle oil though b/c there are special addatives in it for the wetclutch system to reg car oil doesn't have. you can buy a gal of kawasaki motor oil for 15 bucks at a dealer.

can someone tell me how you check the oil level. Do you check it on the kick satnd or the center stand?

 

The ride needs to be level. So center stand would be preferable.

 

the best deal in motorcycle oil to me is amsoil full synthetic 10w40. you can get it for around $6 a quart which is very cheap for synthetic designed for bikes. in my 600rr it drop temps by 10 degrees and improved shifting. they have a website or check around for a dealer in your area.
