Oil and oil level VN800A
Hey all,
new to kawasaki motorcycles and just bought a 2000 Vulcan vn800a with 14K miles. it didn't come w/ the owners manual, i have ordered one but in the meantime, how do i check the oil level and what oil should i use in the bike. i live in TX so the heat in the summer is an issue.
one other thing. what is the PRI setting on the fuel selector valve for? i have had Hondas in the past and they did not have this position.
thanks

i'd like to know, too. same situation basically. 2002vn800a w 6000 miles. beautiful. haven't ordered my owners manual yet, but i need to check the oil and such. i'm putting the miles on it as quick as i can and i want to keep it working great.

ok the oil sight glass is on the left side way under the bike. i just happened to notice mine when i had it towed to the shope after my clutch broke. :-) its ok now though. as far as oil, still not sure. i had the shop change mine because i got busy and was desperate.
