Default Needf Fuel Tank for an 87 ZX 10

Hi everyone, i have just purchased an 87 ZX 10 and the previous owner told me that it needs a new gast tank. The current one has 3 holes in it. I was quoted around 1g for a new one. I was wondering if any other model years might fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Welcome to KF. Since most tanks normally have 3 holes, just asking.

Hi, I meant to say that it has 3 different holes that the gas leaks from. Si it should either be replaced or repaired. Does anyone know is it possible to repair them? Thank you for any assistance.

If the holes are from rust, you could try to seal it. There is some repair stuff that I am blank on the name right now. If the holes are larger, maybe some gas tank repair from an auto parts store would work. I don't believe the tank on the 87 will be a match for any other. The 86 1000R was differently shaped as was the 90 ZX-11. Keep and eye on ebay too.

Edit: The stuff is called Kreem. I have heard folks that love it and others hate it. I believe its all in the prep work. You need to make sure all the rust has been cleared out before you put the coating in.
