Default fuel tank leaking???

Hi,I just purchased a 2001 lakota sport 300.I noticed that it seems to be leaking a little gas from a hose that goes down to the bottom of the frame. Is something clogged or is it supposed to do this?I see it only does this with the petcock in the ON position.Any ideas???

sounds like the overflow hose, if you overfill the bike the extra fuel will leak out safely under the bike instead of over the motor and hot exhaust pipes. It should not be leaking if it is just sitting there and you turn on the fuel unless it is overfull and when it is leaning over on the side stand the fuel is finding it’s way to the overflow.

or if its full and you start it and shut it off, or leave it running, it will leak. but normally it should not leak.
