Going to pod filters, what about the case vent?
NO!!!lol.. don't plug it..
tis there for a reason, sir.[8D]
i've seen alot of times where guys wil just get a tiny little air filter from auto zone or a store of similar nature and terminate the hose or vent with said cute lil filter.
while this doesn't block off any oil and recirc it back into the motor(to the combustion camber..), it will retain most of the oil, and most importantly, vent the case effectively.
if you block the "pcv" (on anything, actually.. car or bike)
you'll lose ring seal.. ring flutter occurs (normally and typically) 9000rpm whether ya like it or not. this can be mapped and adjusted with a flow meter and a closer 2nd ring gap.
if the pressure were to build up, chances are you'll experience very sever blow-by and flutter at a very low rpm and under high load.
bad stuff.
but yeah. the turblow, kleen-air mod, and individual filter guys usually just cap the vent with a tiny little filter made for the vac lines for cold-air intakes for hondas and such.
