trying to be done before its warm
hey everybody...wow motorcycle, motorcycle, motorcycle is all my brain has been saying for 5 months. heres the story so your up to speed. i have a 79 kz1000 that was my recentley deceased fathers . it started smoking over the summer so i decided to rebuild it this winter. so far ive patched and painted eveyrthing brand new. new bars, dropped the tail piece(the fender part not the tail piece itself) turns out just one ring is bad and its letting oil through, but i decided to go ahead and bore it out and get new pistons gaskets , 5 angle valve job the whole shiibang. it already has an elictronic ignition, steering dampner ,oil cooler and kerker 4-into 1 pipe. SO my question is. does any body know where i can order a valve spring commpresor ??? its brought my bike project to a complete stand still and its going to be warm enough to ride in a month! i need to find one. no local shops are comming through and dennis kirk has nothing. im screwed. im about to make one out of a c clamp and some clever welding. also any ideas on what else i should do to my bike or anything else i should look out for from a veterans perspective? id really appreciate it thanks

I fabbed one up in 90 and still works for me. I know whitey has fabbed up an extension/adaptor for his and guess it works just as well. Basically just hit up your auto parts store or those links listed above for the overhead valve spring compresser.
