My wife and I are planning to ride 2 up from Southern Iowa to Rapid City, South Dakota the first week in July. We'll probably spend the first night in Mitchell SD, and of course ride through the Badlands the next day. The 3rd day we probably will ride through Custer State Park. For those who live in that area, what are some routes that provide great rides in the Rapid City area? There has to be fantastic riding in the Mt. Rushmore area.

It is a 2 day ride for us to Rapid City and 2 days back. We would have 5 days to tour the area and wouldn't mind traveling into Wyoming and possibly Montana.

We would appreciate any insight from those who know the area well.
