Default Nomad starting problem

I have a 1998 Vulcan nomad. I had to jump it off today, so I figure the battery is bad. (has been on a trickle charger). It cranked fine. Then I turned it off to make sure it was going to crank again. Now I am getting no power from the ign switch. even with the jumper cables hooked up.DidI blow something? I checked the ign. fuse. It's ok. I still get no power when I turn the key. What shouldI do?

You jumpered it from what? Just another 12volt battery sitting on the shelf?

What is the voltage on your battery after a known full charge, and have you done a load test on it? Anything clicking when you try the ignition as in the "no power from the ignition?" after the overnight standing of the battery. I know, just abunch of Q's

It was clicking at first. So i jumped it off from my van. It cranked easily. Before i rode off, I decided to shut it off to see if it would crank again. It would not. So i hooked it up to jump it again. It gave small pop like cables were crossed, but they weren't. So then i turned the key and i get nothing. No power anywhere. No lights, gauges, nothing. That's what I mean by no power at the ignition. It's dead.
