Default ENG STARTING PROBLEM

I am new to to this forum. I have been trying to search around and find something that can help me with my starting problem. Carbs were rebuilt checked spark got the proper diagrams to get the fuel lines straight. Since someone gave me the bike half way apart. My problem is that the engine is cranking over but it is not wanting fire over. Tried to put some starter fluid in the intake it sounds like it wants to start while you are holding the start button down but when you let go of the button nothing happens. If there is anyone with any ideas of what may be the problem please let me know.

Does the engine actually pop and sputter when you turn it over? You may try feeding the carbs gas straight out of a gas can so you can bypass the petcock valve on the tank. If you do, make sure you cap off the vacuum lines.

If you have the means of making a video and posting it online, do so. It may be very helpful.

good luck, and welcome to KF
