zzr6 sales probably dropped due to the popularity of the 650r

I read an article last year that Kawasaki was discontinuing the ZZR. This has been planned way ahead and before the economy. It will not be coming back. Kawasaki decided to go forward with the 599 cc powerplant and eliminate the 636 cc.

Personally I think it was a great decision by Kawi. The new 599 cc powerplant (debut with '08 ZX-6R) is a engineering masterpiece. Supercedes the 636 cc in all aspects. Why keep outdated old technology?
