HOT DAMN! BOUGHT MY NINJA!!!!!!! WOOHOO
Bummer about the car but yeah for the bike! Enjoy the new toy. The only difference between having a bike and getting laid is you can keep going and going on the bike!
That's great getting the peace sign from another rider. I like to refer to it as throwing the low 2 bro.

$1377.09 is how much its gonna cost me to get my car fixed. The hood and hinges cost like $310 total and the damned labor is almost a grand!!!! what nonsense!! i think i might look other places, is this normal for body work?
I just bought my first bike today too! 2000 Ninja 500. I know exactly how you feel, I would go out and ride it, then I would come in, and ten minutes later I found myself strappin up my helmet and taking her out again. I can't wait for all my gear to come in this week. I have a Joe Rocket UFO jacket and the Blaster backpack, some tie-downs, then on friday my Joe Rocket Stage One gloves should be coming in. I have been smiling all day long, I love it. Congrats on your purchase, I'm sure you're as happy as I am.
About the damage on the civic. Fixing the hood yourself shouldn't be too hard. If you have a good set of tools it shouldn't be too hard, you'll need a buddy to help you lift it off though. I would go look at the hood and hinges and see how to take them off and also look in your owners manual and see how they go together. Maybe you'll be able to save yourself a grand and be able to save that on your insurance.

Congrats on the bike man! Bum deal on the car. get some yard parts and buddies to fix it. Call it good!
Hey did your Kawasaki dealer offer the cheap monthly rate deal. I don't see anything on the Kawasaki's website about it still, but my dealer thought it might still be going on? If it is my KLR should be in the garage tomorrow!

I need to get the parts which arent that expensive actually... The hinges and the hood. I think this guy that gave me an estimate was wanting to rip my *** or something.. I mean a grand for labor... 36 bucks an hour for 11.5 hours of labor.. I am sorry, but thats rediculous!!!!
The Ninja 250 is a dream. I love her. She rides so nicely. I never knew riding around town with NOWHERE to go would be so fun!

I still remember my first street bike. Congratulations man. I have Progressive insurance from my bikes, but that's because USAA uses them. I'm not sure about this, so don't hold me to it, but because you are in ROTC, you might qualify for USAA. If you do, go through them. They save you money on everything. They also have the best bank accounts. Just something for you to look into.
