I found a great buy on CL kind of close to home which turned out to be an all original 1980 KZ650 LTD with only 5k miles. not a mark on any screw or bolt heads, original paint and yes, fresh battery and gas an it fired right up.

I think mine was '81 or '82 and I don't remember it having a kick start. We did many miles together.

I am using a wide-angle lens in those shots which tends to slightly stretch what's closest to the lens, I think the stance is actually normal...

 

I was referring to the stock tires, brakes and suspension.

 

Ahhh, yes. New tires are in the garage, awaiting install. The other components will definitely need to be addressed.
