Default need a little help

I got a brand new 2011 Vn900 classic SE for christmas from my father in law. he bought it brand new in 2011 and only put 216 miles on it. my questions is about exhaust. i just got a new pair of V&H staggered slash cuts today and was wondering about fuelpak. do i need to remap the system and if so will i need to purchase a fuelpak or can i just take the pipes and bike to my local dealer and let them install the pipes and change the fuel setup? thanks for any tips ahead of time.

i had heard goods things about this board but it seems no one has anything to say or even try to be a little helpful. so much for this site. now i see why it is a unofficial site, because everyone seems to be buddy buddy on here and does not try to help or even give any kind of response.

Clay, relax; this is not a Kawasaki Hotline.
Install your slashcuts and see if the sensors automatically adjust your fuel trim. If not, you'll know soon enough. I wouldn't think a re-map would be necessary, unless you're pushing the extreme rev range. On a VN900, that wouldn't seem to be prudent.
Welcome aboard, unless you've already left us.....

wow, welcome aboard anyhow and a happy new year! sheesh!

I am not familiar with the VN900 and its sensors and FI. But normally, anytime you change out the full exhaust, some fuel maps are in order. Therefore, I am thinking that some fi modification would prove beneficial.

edit: moved to the VN900 section for this non diy assistance and of my lack of connectivity to the Gen Tech section at the moment.
