Default 1600 Classic clatter

Hello to all. My '03 1600 Classic has developed an embarassing clatter. It sounds like it is coming from the front end of the engine. Hard to tell exactly when you going down the road. The bike runs great, with no abnormal noise except when I accelerate ( i.e.-to pass someone). Mainly you hear this clatter when the bike is in 4th or 5th gear and only when you give it some more throttle. Any suggestions? I run Amsoil 10-40 oil and almost always run 91 octane gas. I'm thinking fuel injector problem and praying that it's not engine trouble. Haven't taken it to the shop yet. Thanks to those who respond.

I have a 06 meanstreak 1600, I had a clatter at sertain times while acceleratin, I did find out that it was the grill in font of the radiator that at sertain RPM's vibrates and resonates on the frame.
I removed the radiator frame and inserted some rubber bushings to isolate the gril from the frame, and presto, clatter gone.
check if that is the noise you hear.

Sticker on mine says 90 octane or higher, it's a 2007 Nomad 1600.

I have a 07 meanstreak 1600 and it has a nasty clatter too. It is the front headlight vibrating in the casing. Check that. It moves very easy. Hope you can figure it out.

I've also got a 03 classic with alot of chatter/buzz.I just got it 2 weeks ago and still trying to pin point it.It does it in all gears at a certain RPM.I know its coming from the front of the bike,I'm thinking it might be the big crome cover on top of the gas tank, speedometer cover???
thanks,
tony
