2003 VN1500L4. I am having shifting issues. It happens thru all the gears. If I get down on the throttle hard, it seems to lag. When down shifting and getting on the throttle hard it takes several seconds to catch. Same when I up shift. I never noticed this before. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

 

Have you changed oil recently and with what?

Yes I have. 10W40. It had just stared doing this back before I changed the oil. Only about 100 miles on this oil change.

 

Was basically making sure that you are not using the long life, LE for old engines engine oil. That oil screws up the clutches

How many miles on this ride? I would suggest that you hit up a fsm on your ride.
