New here, have been looking at a 01 Nomad 1500. Bike has 190,000 km or 118,000 miles. The bike looks great but the mileage scares me. Anyone get this type of mileage before any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

 

wow, that is some good miles on that one. I would pull a leak down test, would think that the rings and top end would need some help in a few miles. Never seen one with that many miles. Good to know actually.

I would look for something with a lot less miles. Don't jump at the first bike you find. Try looking on CraigsList, expanding your search beyond your comfort zone (100+ miles away). You'll find what you're looking for, with a lot better results. I do this (find and sell low mileage bikes) for a hobby. I found an 09 VULCAN 900 for my daughter in Texas (I live in California) for $2,700.00. It had 1,100 miles on it. This is what you want to find. Take your time.
