Hmmm either we don't have this T canister or I just can't draw up the picture in my head. The only things I know that are connected to the carbs would be the prime fuel line to carb 3 or 2, the throttle cable, the black main fuel line to that swivel thing that runs through all of the carbs. There are two like crankcase vent / egr things on the exhaust side of the valve cover but they are connected together with a 8 inch hose.

Excuse my terminology

Off topic, but I was working on one of my buds' 2001
z7s today, it had the cannister that I was trying to mention. Yes, it is a smog item but if yours were to be removed and the vacuum lines were to be re-routed....that would cause vacuum issues if not done properly. Did you replace the broken black box yet?

Possible problem areas that I feel are causing this.

Since the wires and plugs are good and getting spark, maybe the spark isn't heavy enough soo....

Coils.
Rectifier / Regulator.
Points Assembly.

I'm going to measure the coils soon. They're been sitting 15 years, along with everything else so I'm HOPING i can get a definitive diagnostic conclusion from their resistance. I'm reading a lot that their readings will often be inconclusive.

Blah.... If this were a crx, it would've been fixed by nao =p
