Staying home from work today really paid off :P

I still need to source a 1-1/8th insert, to get me back to whisper quiet

Now who wants to buy a moose jet kit? I already have a 2125 DJ kit.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but even with the 1 1/8" insert, the Q4 is way louder than stock. But supposedly the power/mega bomb headers help too, so hopefully you'll be happy with the sound level. I've contemplated picking up a Megabomb just to see if it will quiet down the Q4 a noticeable amount.

I had a q4 with insert in days gone by, and with the stock insert flipped around and attached to the 1 1/8th (see video, last test is with the extended tip.) We should be well within friendly neighbor values

Huh, I've never seen that done before. Very clever if it works. Unfortunately they all sound about the same on crappy laptop speakers. But I'll take your word that it helps in real life!

I can tell it gets quieter with each insert change, but how quiet that is compared to stock is a test for a db meter. Here's the link for the how- to

Bolt it all on and listen before you start muzzling it.. You'll be impressed with the "quiet" that combo makes w/o butt plugs installed..

Then, if you r ever redy for "biggy" power, you can pull the airbox lid, rejet/reset, and "go big"..

I will undoubtedly test the pipe with the stock insert before ordering the 1 1/8th, although I remember liking the sound of the q4 with the insert vs without.

I commute to work on my bike, and having a reasonably quiet exhaust is paramount. It's not really a matter if I like the sound, but if I will hear about it from a client's next door neighbor after a week of arriving at 8am on a cannon.

As for "biggy" power, I have the necessary jets to give it a bit extra oomph. Not 144 DJ oomph, but close :P
