So Richard, what is the bottom line on the timing mod ? Can you quantify the results? Do you think you've picked up 1 or more HP ? Do I need to plan to pull my flywheel ?

We ( old tuners) know too much advance can completely kill top end performance - you seeing that at all..?

I haven't noticed any loss in top end with the 34mm; meaning hi rpm. I don't know about top speed because the gearings so tight anyway, and I've never topped it out to see. I won't know any more until I test it some tomorrow with the 36mm carb.

Look into modifying the bracket that holds the pick up or slotting that bracket if you don't want to pull the flywheel.

I now have two identical weight lightened flywheels; one with the 3mm nose extension to advance timing (on the bike now), and one that is unmodified except for being lighter.

I'll get around to a direct comparo between the two sometime in the future.
