I got almost 100 miles on it and have been breaking in with medium to hard accel and decel up to the suggested rpms(really !)
I can only quess the power that will be unleashed once I start climbing towards 9+ grand. Oh darn, another 900 miles to go.

I still remember that time....my bike wakes up at 6K rpms, and that was the last phase of break in for me.....it was such a tease, but there was no disappointment once the wait was over!!!!!

I guess I can look at it this way, only 400 more miles til I can hit 6k.
I have a feeling its going to be like a 2 stroke dirtbike getting into the powerband once you get above 6k.
Oh well, patience is what I'm learning.

Just to give you something to look forward to... Yes, it does start to pick up more after 6k.. 6-8k is a steadily increasing powerband that is a hell of a lot of fun, then at around 9k it just takes off. You can actually feel the punch, and if you're not ready for it, it might just catch you by surprise... I know it did the first time I revved it up that high in 1st and 2nd gear. It gives you that guilty pleasure sensation because you're having so much fun and you know it just has to be wrong... well, it probably is wrong, because if you get it that high in 2nd gear you're doing 80+mph... but that doesn't remove the big-*** grin from your face. Just be kind to your neighbors and do it on back country highways or on the track, because she absolutely screams...

Update, I'm at 620 miles hitting 6 sometimes 6 1/2k on the revs and it's starting to come alive. Alittle under 400 more miles and I can see what she's really made of. I took it in for the first service and my shops mechanic said that this motor can run at 12k all day long and won't even phase it. I'll be doing good to even visit the double digits on the revs. Just haven't been there yet, so there is a little fear factor involved. I tell the boys at work I'm 42, not 24. Oh well, Be safe !

I just joined the family. I bought myself a silver 06 ZZR. I just recently did the fender eliminator kit, clear tails w/ LED's and intigrated turn signals, flush front turn signals, and a zero gravity tinted windscreen.

I absolutely LOVE the bike, very comfortable and easy riding.

I'll post pictures once i bolt everything back up..

I too have a silver '06 ZZR. My problem is that I cannot find any fender eliminator kits or flush turn signals, I even looked online, where did you get yours?

Thanks, and my question is open to any who know, where I may be able to get flush signals, a fender eliminator kit, and a tall man windshield, as well as new aftermarket exhaust. Finding any of these things for an 06 ZZR has proven impossible, has anybody used aftermarket accessories/parts designed specifically for a different bike with any sucess?
