Thanks, Glock. You were very helpful to me. I forgot to mention your idea of covering the tank, etc.. I also purchased a pair of MX grips, but decided I didn't like the feel of them. I had a chance to ride today, and you are correct...a big difference . Perhaps a bit pricey, but I feel they were worth it.

Be careful out there we just had a fatal bike/car accident last Tuesday.

So this would be a higly recommended mod? My wife complains of numbness in her hands after riding for a while. This may be something I can do to help her out.

Ugh .. just noticed how old this post was!! Well now that you've had some time with the heli bars, what are your impressions??

Also, my wife's bike (08 ZZR) is lowered about 1-1/2" in the front, will the protruding forks affect this? I"m thinking not, since they clip onto the forks anyway right?

Sorry for dreging up such an old post, but I guess it beats creating a new thread on the same topic!!
