Thanks for your inputs, guys! Here's one more for you..... do the carbs have to be removed when re-jetting or can it justbe leftwhere it is after removing the fuel tank for access?

On average, how long does it take for an guyto re-jet a carb? What screw-ups could happen? What procedures should a guy really pay attention to so as not to screw-up? Are the instructions that come with the Dynojet kit really that clear?

Mine took a few hours, but I wasn't hurried or anything.
-MAke sure you don't lose any parts.
-cover the carbs with a rag or something so stuff doesn't fall in while you have the apart.
-Watch out for the little o-rings falling out when you remove the covers on the carbs.
-Make sure you are doing the right jets.
-No, the instructions are not very clear.
-Be VERY careful drilling out the covers on the mixture screws, if you drill in too far it will run the screws in, and you will be getting a rebuild.
-Make sure everything is seated properly when re-assembling.
-Don't pinch any of the hoses when putting it back together.
...I'm sure I forgot something, but it is pretty easy if you take your time and ask questions when you have a problem it should be pretty easy.

Thanks again, Rick! But, what exactly do you mean by... "Make sure you are doing the right jets."? How am I to know if I am indeed using the right jets? Will the instructions tell me?

Yes...and no. The pictures will help, But just remember that the first jets you see(on the top), are not the jets you are changing. Although you will need to put the blocking pins in a set of the top jets. Make sure you look at the pictures, and ask questions if you get stuck, and everythuing will be fine.
