Factory Pro K89-1.1-Ti or Dynojet Stage 1-#2133 ?
I am planning to do my next mod by re-jetting my carbs either by using the Factory Pro K89-1.1-Ti or the Dynojet Stage 1-#2133, together with a K&N KA-6098 high-flow air filter.By doing a bit or research, Factory Pro claims that their carb kitsare "drop-in, no drilling required" as opposed to the Dynojets where drilling (I believe) is necessary. I would certainly appreciate any inputs/advice anyone could share regarding these 2 carb re-calibration kits or experiences you might have with each one. Thanks in advance.

I don't knw about the other one, but the dyno jet requires some very minor drilling so that you can get to the mixture screws. I don't see how you could rejet without having to drill them out. BTW that means drilling isdone on the outside of thecarbs because there is a brass cap over the screws, it isn't as complicated as you are thinking, the only difficult part is not drilling too much, whichcould do some damage. I went with the dynojet because it is the tried and true kit, and their support has always been goodas well. The K&N is a good thing, my bike feels alot better with the kit and the filter. Get your suspension dialed inas wellso that you can enjoy the bike even more when all of the mods are finished.

Thanks for your reply, Rick! The only reason I'm kinda leaning towards Factory Pro is due to the "drop-in, no drilling required" process. I checked out their website (http://www.factorypro.com) andit looks reputable. I certainly would also consider Dynojet and Ivans but if I can really get away with "no drilling" then it just might be the one! Btw, when you wrote "Get your suspension dialed in..." what exactly do you mean by this? Thanks, again.

suspension being dialed in- a term used for getting your sags set up, then play with your compression and dampening for your ride surfaces.

There is no slide drilling with the Dynojet either. Sounds like they are trying to intimidate you into buying their product.

Ther might be drilling involved with the Factory Pro brand too. I did a "cut and paste" on "Installing A Jet Kit" from the Factory Pro website and it goes: "The final modification is to adjust the idle fuel screw. On this particular setup, the screw is accessible with a special tool included in the kit. On some older carbs, however, the screw is covered with an aluminum plug, which requires a drill to remove. Check your kit instructions for the correct procedure." Based on this, isit the same drilling done with the Dynojet?
