This is the stunting section correct?? I always run a 1/2 quart over on my stunt bike (GSXR) b/c the front wheel is in the air for miles or hours in the lot. Wondering what 05 636 stunters do?? Right now I'm 4 quarts.

Yea your in the right place, not too many stunters posting, hopefully that will change though. I have heard 1/2 to a full quart no problem, especially you your running long wheelies.

Got some pics of yourself post them up, luv seeing them.

Welcome

Thanks, Do you know where the oil pick ups are located on these bikes? Front or rear?I know my GSXR is way up front. I'll post some pics up as soon as can get out and have someone take them. I just put the bike on the road Friday. I've got a few of the GSXR if you want to see them though.

i heard with some/most bikes you could bend or extend the oil pickup toward the back so you don't have to add the extra oil. but i am no expert in stunting or anything to do with stunting...just what i heard

Had a friend who ran his TL about 1/2 qt low, or it would puke oil out all day long. Never had any problems with it.

I use full synthetic Amsoil, so it coats the walls real good...seems to work ok, from what I can tell. Haven't really stunted my bike yet...built for it, but no time, so maybe the next owner will let me know how the high dollar oil worked!!
I know it works fine in my streetbike, which has been known to wheelie on occasion.

Most of the cats that I ride with fill thiers over by 1/2 quart. For 2 reasons, 1} the sprckets are usually much larger on the back of a stunt bike, making them put more immaginary miles on the engines. This will run through the oil quicker then stock. 2} long wheelies can starve your engine of oil if the pickup is in the front like on the Gixxers.
Also, I wouldnt recoment "bending" your oil pickup like a previous poster said. Your begging for problems at that point. Buy an after market pickup from a stunt related parts market. Thier not THAT expensive compared to the cost of what they protect.
