When you have a new toy you always have to see what it will do, its only crazy if its your first bike

 

my 636 is my first bike and in sixth gear i was driving and the shift light was on , i think mine is set at default settings, i glance at the speedo and it was doing 155 but im sure i was going faster cuz i held it down a little longer. it was redicolous. i have a death wish

 

My fastest speed was on my 2005 636 on the autobahn chasing a hayabusa and a ZX10 was 173mph with all the lights on.

 

I got mine up to 168 MPHindicatedon a short empty stretch. The first half was slightly downhill but the second half was uphill by the same couple of degrees. I was impressed! Had1000 rpm left before redline.

Speedometer error: 75 mph indicated. 70 mph actual per GPS. Didn't have the GPS on this run and really wouldn't want to look down at that speed anyway.So at 7% speedometer error, I was probably going 157 MPH corrected/ calculated. I just got a less restrictive Yosh TRS and will install the BMC filter along with the Speedo Healerthis week and try it at the next opportunity again. Only problem is, it's difficult to find just the right conditions; good straight empty road with good visibility and no cops around.

Two weeks ago i left bakersfield to go to fullerton. I hit 166mph on highway 5, goingsouth just before i got to knotts berry farm. It was about 2am, and no traffic. Im not sure how much rpm i had left. Bike is all stock.

 

When I stated the lights were on I meant the shift lights and everything was on. But the bike is still running like a Champ. I am going to the track at Hochenheim ring today. Its an awsome track here in Germany. ( You guys should check it out on YouTube)

 

the fastested i had my 636 was about 178 i wanted to go faster but the bike wouldnt go any faster though im thinking about doing the euro jump to it and seeing if i can get to 180.

 

That's a great ramp (405N/605N). A little further up the 605 is the 605N/105W and when there's no traffic it's a slightly banked 2-lane sweeping left. AND there's the 105W/110N HOV which is a crazy one-lane, skyscraper-high, look to your right and down on LA right-hander. I haven't had the guts to take that one too fast....
