Quick intro: torquey and dead reliable cruiser that loves to eat back highway curves and running interstate at 90 mph. Enough torque to accelerate in 5th gear at highway speeds, going uphill. It has the heft to be stable for hours on the highway, but is still manageable in the city. Includes saddle bags.
Shaft drive, recent fluid changes, recent battery replacement and new Shinko 777 tires = ready to drive 10,000 miles. Comfortable Corbin seat (cost close to $750). Selling to move to a neutral-stance bike.
Note for touring styles: includes windshield and two touring bags. One had a squirrel chew a hole in the top cover.
Why selling: I'm moving to a more "neutral" stance bike.
Engine: great torque. Starts right up, and never failed to start. Fuel injected, Japanese reliability. Nuff said. New sparks and oil change in October.
Transmission: 5 speed, shifts crisply. Stays in second gear, NO hopping out. Shaft drive = virtually no maintenance. Final drive oil also changed in October (the next final drive is called for in more than 10,000 miles!).
Clutch: engages with authority, no slipping or chudder.
Electrical: Right rear signal was hit in a parking lot recently. I plan to replace that. Otherwise fine.
Tires: new Shinko 777 tires, fresh rubber (2021). Still have nubbins and the "seam", less than 100 miles on them (but going up).
Brake pads. fine, about 1/8th inch material remaining.
Known Issues: Rear right turn signal is broken off, I will replace. Front fork has a slow oil leak. I spilled a bit of sunscreen on the front leather accessory. Leather looks a bit worn.
History: I bought it from the original owner two years ago, just below 12k miles. I put about 4000 miles on it, including a recent 500+ mile trip to Potter County, PA.
