Default Buying a new Vulcan Classic 1600 - help!

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a Vulcan Classic 1600.

here are my two choices, please let me know if they are good deals, and which one you would choose if you were me!

a 2005 Classic with 1900 miles, mint - $7400 out the door.
A 2006 Classic brand new 0 miles - $8500 out the door and tires for life.. What would you do?

also what is your opinion on the bike?

Thanks,
Jeff

tires for life? that just doesn't sound financially possible for a business. unless they give you the crapiest tire possible. (ie really heard rubber that doesn't wear out but doesn't grip well either)

Check what brand of tires they use...if they're decent...take the new one for sure.

Well they said they put on whatever tires the bike comes with stock, every 4500 miles. Ok, if the tires for life wasn't an issue what would you do? '05 with 1900 miles $7200 out the door, or brand new '06 $8500 out the door? Also the used one comes with a windshield.

Also, how do you like the classic? Do you love it? Anything that you don't like about it?

Thanks,

Jeff

I agree with hoedogg, you can't beat the peace-of-mind that comes standard with every new bike

1. get the new bike - why risk $7400 on someone else's integrity on how they treated it?
2. tires for life - if they use sucky tires, can you pay the difference only to upgrade to good tires?
3. yes, the 1600 Classic is a great bike. You're going to love it!

the 08's are going for 10,699 Msrp. if your wallet can handle the extra i'd go for the new 06. (intrest rates are lower on a new bike too) I think you'll like either bike there very nice.
