Default Possible ZX9

Some of you may have seen my posting in the zx7 forum in which I indicated a co-worker has a 9 for sale which I am considering.

98, 14.5k miles, fully muzzy system and stage 1. No other mods, and not a single scratch on the bike. M-1 tires with about a grand on them. Original owner, never laid down, pretty much babied - not beat on at all.

Not quite as aggressive in rider position as the 7, which is what I was gunning for - but as finding a 7 that has not had the hell beat out of it is proving to be rather difficult... this is looking to be a pretty good attraction.

$4k.... what do you all think?

very good deal. honestly, everyother sport bike you ever get on will have a less aggressive riding position than a 7.

Heck ya Srobak...That is a pretty good deal...Really, if you think about it, take off the full system, tires. etc, you are paying about $3,000 for the bike.

Not bad at all.

I know... but that's the thing... I don't know if I want to give that up. The 7 carves like a pizza cutter thanks to it being low and wide, and that is what I love about it so much. The only things that compare to it are the old GSXR 750s and the CBR900RRs...

Gah.... I hate being in this position. The tall and narrow ride of my buddy's gixxer is the exact reason I am not buying one. Yes - the 9 is wider and heavy... but it is a good deal taller than the 7 and I don't want to be sorry on the carving aspect if I get it.

Decisions... . :S

Dragone - nice to see you post - you should followup in the 7 thread about zx7rider.com :P
