Ha ha, that's one of our local news channels. I'm sure whoever put the sign up has no intention of actually shooting anyone. But that doesn't mean it won't give others the same idea and they just might.

Funny they should think of that, though. At one of the hare scrambles I did back in June, some people were cheating by cutting the track, cut off about a mile of the course. One of the head honchos of the series suggested arming fans with paintball guns and nail anyone that veers from the course. Then anyone covered with paint at the end would just be summarily disqualified, not to mention get what they deserved. Works for me.
